Cerbearus are gigantic three-headed bears. They are roughly twice the size of other ursines (about 18' long and 8-9' tall at the shoulder) and weigh about eight tons (16,000 lbs). These mutants generally have brown or grey colored fur, though some (a roll of 10 on 1d10) are pure white. Cerbearus are also individually mutated, with the composition of heads determined by rolling on the following table three times:
Roll Head Type 1 Giant Panda Bear 2 Spectacled Bear 3 Black Bear 4 Brown Bear 5 Polar Bear 6 Quinling Panda Bear

Regular, non-mutated bears, including grizzly, kodiak, and cave bears are considered docile compared to Cerbearus. Not only are they willing to attack well-armed parties without provocation, they will actively hunt any creature that comes into their hunting range, including robots and plant mutants. Unlike other bears (in RPGs at least), they do not use a "bear hug" attack. Instead, on a successful bite attack with an 18 or better it latches on to the target, and the other heads also bite for 4d6 points of additional damage.

Cerbearus are vicious and intelligent predators and are more than willing to attack from ambush, or while their prey are sleeping or even being attacked by other creatures. These savage creatures can generally be found in just about any habitat, from polar tundra to blistering deserts, but prefer to dominate a hunting range in an area with large caves or cave-like ruins (ruined concrete buildings or similar objects).

While intelligent, these creatures tend to collect items that they can actually use, though their lairs will often hold unopened containers that their victims have carried. Treasure for Cerbearus is determined on the following table:
Roll CP SP GP Artifact
1 4d6 (70%) 2d8 (25%) 1d6x5 (10%) 1 (7%) any
2 1d100 (65%) 1d100 (35%) 1d100 (15%) 1 (7%) any
3 - - - 6 (18%) any 4, 1 drugs, chemicals, and medical devices, 1 gizmos
4 - - - 5 (30%) any 3 (no weapons), 1 drugs, chemicals, and medical devices, 1 gizmos
5 1d8x1000 (25%) 1d6x1000 (40%) 1d4x1000 (15%) 2 (12%) any
