Notes:
1. Won't actually provide any protection, but it looks like it will.
2. These may or may not be helmets. Roll 1D4 to determine construction type: 1 - Replica (see note 1), 2 - Cheap Scrap (see note 3), 3 - Good Scrap, 4 - Relic (may be from a museum, or a working replica from something like the Society for Creative Anachronism).
3. Helmets shall be shattered. Instead of providing any decent protection, these improvised helmets are good for one attack, then they fall apart and become useless. At the GM's option, improvised helmets made of metal may make a Saving Throw vs Stun Attack to resist being destroyed.
4. Roll on the following tables to determine material, type, and color of Giant Chess Pieces.
