Ten foot laser pole...

I always got a kick out of the first page of the webcomic Darth & Droids, because of the comment about sticking techy words in front of a D&D equipment list. The idea is intriguing, especially given how Mutant Future essentially has only a standard D&D equipment list. So I thought I'd give it a try, and stick "techy" words in the standard list to see what I could come up with to replace MF's somewhat depressing offering.

But first of course, I have to come up with a techy, hopefully post apocalyptic flavored, monetary system. Since a lot of classic PA fiction focuses on nuclear destruction, I thought I'd use various radioactive elements for the money system, while replicating the D&D monetary system. Cobalt Piece (cp), Strontium Piece (sp), Thorium Piece (tp), Uranium Piece (up), Plutonium Piece (pp). (I suppose I could have replaced Thorium with Europium and Uranium with Gadolinium to accurately reflect the coinage abbreviations, but I thought Uranium and Thorium would fit the genre better.)

Roger G-S over at Roles, Rules, and Rolls has been creating nice little dynamic encounter tables for a variety of genres, so I thought I try my hand at one of my own. I'm still not entirely satisfied with it, but it should work fairly well.
